Tips for Seedlings

When starting seedlings, it’s crucial to provide them with proper care to ensure healthy growth. Use a seed-starting mix or a well-draining soil to provide the right balance of moisture and nutrients. Maintain consistent moisture levels in the soil by watering gently from below or by using a misting spray. Provide sufficient light for the seedlings by placing them near a bright window or using grow lights. If using artificial lights, make sure to adjust them as the seedlings grow to maintain an optimal distance. As the seedlings develop, gradually introduce them to outdoor conditions through a process called hardening off. This helps them acclimate to temperature and environmental changes, preventing shock. Finally, transplant the seedlings into larger containers or outdoor gardens once they have established sturdy roots and developed a few sets of leaves.
