Tips for Beautiful Zinnias

To ensure healthy growth, plant zinnias in an area with full sun and well-draining soil. Water deeply once or twice a week, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Apply a slow-release fertilizer at planting time and again every 3-4 weeks. Deadhead faded flowers regularly to promote continuous blooming. Protect zinnias from common pests such as aphids and powdery mildew by spraying a mixture of water and insecticidal soap. Harvest zinnia blooms when the petals are fully open for longer vase life.
