Pruning Tillandsias for Maintenance

Remove dead or yellowing leaves from your tillandsias using clean scissors or shears. Trim any dried-up roots to promote new growth. Avoid cutting into the green portions of the plant as this can damage it. Keep the base of the plant dry after pruning to prevent rot. Display pruned tillandsias in a bright, indirect light location for optimal recovery.
