Caring for Perennials

Divide overcrowded perennial plants every 3-5 years to promote healthy growth and blooming. Water perennials deeply but infrequently to encourage deep root growth. Fertilize with a slow-release, balanced fertilizer in the early spring as new growth emerges. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to promote continuous flowering throughout the season. Mulch around perennial plants to retain moisture and suppress weed growth.
