Proper Watering Techniques for Aromatic Plants

Aromatic plants like Rosemary, Lavender, Jasmine, and Mint require proper watering for optimal growth. It is important to water them deeply but infrequently. This means allowing the soil to dry out partially between watering sessions. Overwatering can lead to root rot and other moisture-related issues. To determine when to water, check the moisture level of the soil by inserting your finger about an inch deep. If the soil feels dry at that depth, it’s time to water. During hot summer months, these plants may need more frequent watering due to increased evaporation. Watering in the early morning or late evening will also help minimize water loss through evaporation.
