Tips for Transplanting Successfully

Water plants thoroughly before transplanting to reduce transplant shock. Choose a transplanting location with the appropriate sunlight, soil, and moisture conditions for the plant. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball but only as deep as the root ball to prevent burying the plant too deep. Gently tease out the roots before planting to encourage new root growth. Water newly transplanted plants regularly to help them establish in their new location.
